Albanian is one of the largest languages spoken in Switzerland after the national ones, so it is no surprise that the licensed providers sell it. This post compares what is on offer (state: October 2026) and says what the packages do and do not promise. The current price of each is on the provider's page.
01
Albanian TV in Switzerland: two packages
Both are add-ons to a base TV subscription:
| Provider | Package | What the provider says |
|---|---|---|
| Swisscom blue TV | Albanica+ | The most popular Albanian channels with news, films, series, documentaries and talk shows |
| Salt TV | Albanian package | 7 channels close to Albanian culture; can be cancelled to the end of a month on one month's notice |
02
Swisscom's Albanica+
Albanica+ is a language package for blue TV. Swisscom describes it as the package with the most popular Albanian channels featuring news, films, series, documentaries and talk shows. The channel list is on the package page and is the thing to read before you order, because a package name does not tell you whether your favourite channel is in it.
03
Salt's Albanian package
Salt's package carries 7 channels. You add it to an existing Salt TV subscription, ordered in the Salt TV app on the Apple TV box or in a Salt store, and end it at the end of any month with one month's notice. A package of seven channels is comparable in scope to Swisscom's; the difference is the base subscription you need.
04
What Zattoo offers
Zattoo does not sell an Albanian package. Its channel overview lists RTSH Sat, a satellite service of Albania's public broadcaster, among its international channels; the overview marks the plan that includes it. For Albanian-language news and entertainment beyond that you need one of the operators' packages.
05
Be careful with 'all Albanian channels' offers
Search results for Albanian TV are crowded with sellers of channel lists that carry far more channels than any licensed package. A list with hundreds of channels for a few francs a month has no way to have paid for the rights. IPTV scams and red flags lists the checks, and IPTV illegal or legal in Switzerland explains the legal side.
06
How to decide
A short route:
- Open the channel list of each package and mark the channels you watch
- Check which base subscription each needs and add up the bill, see TV costs in Switzerland
- If you already have Swisscom or Salt, the package for your provider is usually the simpler choice
- Look at the notice period before ordering
07
What to expect from a seven-channel package
Neither Salt's nor Swisscom's page names the Albanian channels in the text we read; both describe the content in general terms, and Salt gives the number seven. A package of that size is a selection, not the full lineup you may remember from home, so name the three channels you watch most and ask the provider whether they are in the list before you order.
RTSH Sat, which Zattoo lists, is a different kind of offer: a single public-broadcaster feed, not a package, and available only on the plans that include it. If one channel is all you want, check Zattoo's plan column first.
